Tom’s Dog Run is maintained and managed by volunteer community members in partnership with NYC Parks.  

Volunteers are wholly responsible for the upkeep of the run. We rely on the generosity and involvement of the community to help keep it clean and safe. We are responsible for keeping the park free of trash, keeping holes filled and the wood chips spread, and generally keeping the park in good condition for our dogs and their owners.

Tom’s Dog Run is led by a volunteer committee that organizes monthly cleanups, coordinates with the Parks department on larger maintenance projects, and advocates on the run’s behalf to the city government and other community leaders.
